Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to many classical music and traditional Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any drama. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started more intense training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. While a young student and professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects in both teaching as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
